Yeah, yeah, so you're also incensed by Vogue India editrix Priya Tanna's decision to showcase wares from Fendi and Alexander McQueen on models who starve not because they force themselves to, but because they can't afford food. So's everyone. At least Tanna's unintentional attempt to turn the clock back half a century on India's international profile with her 16-page spread in the August issue was undermined to some degree by photographer Jean François Campos. Campos, whose previous publication credits include Flair Italy, has a proven track record shooting high fashion in low-income areas. While he's unable to salvage the asinine spread's integrity, he makes the colors pop and tries his damnedest to capture the joy and cheer of these "average citizens" -- barely succeeding in his quest to stifle the dramatic irony.
