Maybe viewers miffed with this bit of casting news from the set of 90210 will borrow a title from Nick Flynn to express their ire toward the show. Jessica Walter, née Lucille Bluth, is being downgraded from series regular to a regular role for the second half of the series' first season. One insider said it didn't make sense to "pay her all that money to utter two funny lines an episode." Note that, however, it does make complete sense for them to keep Annalynne McCord on payroll full-time for her terrific contributions.
