With so much happening, it's still a testament to the crumbling institution of journalism that few reporters were intrepid enough to single out the night's most charming couple--novelist Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer. This site even made the embarrassing gaffe of listing Gaiman as an anonymous +1.

Gaiman and Palmer were in attendance to support the former's Golden Globe nomination (or possibly laugh off the eventual loss to Up) of his book-to-movie Coraline.

However, it was at the NBC afterparty where Palmer made the biggest splash. But the Golden Globes photo-op of the couple comes off especially sweet, as last Friday, they announced their engagement, making hipster hearts everywhere flutter.

Most importantly, we can hope that this Golden Globes spectacle heightens Palmer's profile just enough to work in tandem with the following clip below and inspire a duet between her and Lady Gaga.
