Seeing the Jimmy Kimmel/Matthew Fox staring contest broadcast on Taxi TV today brought back a rush of emotions. Feelings of lust, fearfulness, animal instincts, courage, agony and heroism. The sentiments that flow through my bloodstream at a rapid pace whenever I’m watching Dr. Jack Shephard on Lost. I’m ready for the season 6 premiere on February 2nd-- one week from midnight! Here are the clips that get me through the off-season (not in chronological order) and remind me that Dr. Shephard isn't just the man, but a man. Hubba hubba.
('
’)1.Kate: “Hey, why are you sticking up for Sawyer? He’d never do it for you.”
Jack: “Because I love you.”
…and then, the world explodes, because there’s too much love within the Dharma initiative.
2.The explosive, heartwrenching end to season 3. The first time we see Jack scruffy, disoriented and possibly drunk. If we’d only known then what we know now.
3.The Pilot. How can you forget that face? That strength?
4.When Jack tries (unsuccessfully) to kill himself. Thank goodness he’s bad at something.
5.Jack gives Ben the lowdown on his tumor, like a real man would. And then he takes off his shirt, to reveal his chest...like a real man would.
